A half hour outside Bristol, near the Sharpness Shipyard, there lies the pub Effy and Cook escape to when they head out of town to visit his dad at the end of series three. Things get heated when Cook gets protective of Effy dancing with some strangers in the bar. When Thomas joins the cast in series three, he's squatting in an abandoned flat at Patterson House with hopes his family will soon arrive from the Congo. An ardent Geordie minus the accent, Sam seemingly strove to get as far away from the Toon as possible, as soon as university beckoned.
